EL PROPÓSITO

El LHC está comprometido con la equidad en la preservación y se esfuerza por democratizar el campo de la preservación convencional. El Latinx Preservation Toolkit sirve como una introducción a los principios y prácticas de la preservación histórica, que abarca tanto la preservación liderada por la comunidad como los enfoques convencionales. El Toolkit garantiza la igualdad de acceso a la información, empoderando a las comunidades latinas para preservar, celebrar las contribuciones y contar sus propias historias.

Al empoderar a las comunidades tanto en paisajes urbanos como rurales, el Toolkit invita a las personas a asumir roles de liderazgo, salvaguardar sus comunidades y preservar los sitios sagrados para los latinos. LHC tiene como objetivo establecer prácticas equitativas y cultivar una nueva generación de administradores del patrimonio profundamente conectados con sus raíces culturales.

Teacher Professional Development Workshops are offered in Dallas and Austin in the following dates: ​

  • Austin on Friday, July 19 - REGISTRATION CLOSED
