Who can apply

• Age: 16 - 26 as of deadline (Jan 6, 2026, 5:00 PM PT).

The California Preservation Foundation offers free two-year student memberships with access to scholarships, job boards, and discounted events. Students also gain entry to mentorship and training opportunities.

CPF’s Underrecognized California program funds student-led nominations of historic sites tied to underrepresented communities. Interns work with experienced consultants to prepare designations for local, state, or national registers—100% of funds go directly to student compensation
