Acerca del evento
What makes a neighborhood truly ours? Where do we see our herencia alive and breathing?
Through storytelling, participatory mapping, and oral history, Latinos in Heritage Conservation in collaboration with Revolution Workshop, invite the community of Chicago to trace the ways they have continued to sustain themselves amid gentrification and displacement. Our intention is to honor the shops, murals, gathering spaces, family recipes, and everyday acts of mutual support that make this city a living archive of migration, labor, resistance, and reinvention.
This is an interactive space to reflect, share, and build alongside neighbors who carry Chicago’s cultural fabric forward every day. Come ready to map what matters. And this is just the beginning! Chicago is also the host city for LHC’s upcoming Congreso Leadership Summit, taking place August 19–22, 2026 — an opportunity to carry the energy and connections from this workshop into a historic national gathering.
