Latinos in Heritage Conservation is recruiting qualified candidates to join our Board of Directors!

We are excited to welcome individuals who strongly align with LHC's mission and vision and who are eager to help expand our movement into new communities throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

The Board seeks candidates who are passionate about preservation equity and access in Latinx communities, willing to dedicate time and resources to support LHC's strategic growth, and recognized for their collaborative leadership styles. A limited number of seats are open during the 2025 election cycle; however, we will keep a record of interested individuals for future board and volunteer opportunities.

Please note, all board members are eligible to serve three 2-year terms (a total of six consecutive years). New members elected in 2025 will be onboarded in January 2026. The Board's governance committee will review applications in mid-November, and select candidates will be invited to meet with the Executive Director and committee for an informal conversation. The Board will vote on the final slate in December.

To apply, please complete this self-nomination form (including resume/CV). All applications must be submitted by Friday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). Please direct questions to Executive Director Sehila Mota Casper at info@latinoheritage.us

Thank you for your time and commitment! We look forward to hearing from you.

Latinos in Heritage Conservation (LHC) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and elevating Latinx heritage across the United States and its territories.

Founded in 2014, LHC works to strengthen the visibility, representation, and leadership of Latinx communities in historic preservation through grassroots engagement, education, research, and coalition building.

LHC believes that cultural preservation is a powerful tool for equity, resilience, and community-driven change. By centering Latinx stories, places, and traditions, we advance a more inclusive and representative vision of American heritage.
