About the event
In Albuquerque, we focus on climate justice, honoring intergenerational relationships to land as living symbols of culture while addressing how climate change shapes our built environment and daily lives.
Join us in Albuquerque for a special Abuelas workshop where the community will learn about generational caretaking of land and the importance of spaces as memory, care, and community. Inter- and multi-generational caretaking of land as living structures of memory stands as a testament to Latinx care for climate justice. Through storytelling, mapping, and oral history, we will highlight how climate conservation practices continue to sustain our communities in the face of climate change. Location: available after ticket confirmation. Parking is available! Register here
