About the Multicultural Leadership Academy

The Multicultural Leadership Academy is a professional development program that equips leaders with the skills, networks, and cross-cultural understanding necessary to build and strengthen relationships between Black and Latine communities, drive social change, and advance community empowerment across Illinois.

Given the history of racial segregation, alliance building across communities requires a deliberate and intentional approach. The program acknowledges the significant leadership attributes inherent in the history and cultural DNA of Black and Latine communities. MLA utilizes various modalities, including cultural anthropology, the arts, and the creation of sacred space.

The Utah Historical Society and Museum of Utah is hiring a full-time Exhibit Designer & Production Specialist. Working under the direction of the Exhibition Program Manager, the specialist turns educational and institutional stories into immersive, three-dimensional spaces and visually compelling exhibits. Core duties include designing floor plans and wall elevations, planning lighting, developing hands-on displays, and guiding visitor movement.

Internships are open to students of all nationalities. Individuals from groups underrepresented across the fields of art history, conservation, and museums are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be:

Students currently enrolled in a graduate program* in a field relevant to the internship(s) for which they are applying

OR

Individuals who have completed a relevant graduate degree* on or after January 1, 2024, with postgraduate experience in their field (paid or unpaid)
