Museum of International Folk Art, New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs.
Project Overview:
The Museum of International Folk Art (MOIFA) invites qualified and visionary architecture and museum planning/design firms to submit proposals for two interrelated planning efforts:
1. A Site Activation Plan for a newly acquired 7,500 sq ft Education and Engagement Center and reconfiguration of existing museum facilities—focused on the operational, spatial, and experiential enhancements for visitors.
2. A Master Plan / Facilities Plan for the entire museum campus that is forward-thinking and visionary—outlining the long-term impact MOIFA seeks to have on its visitors, community, and the global folk art field. These projects will help MOIFA imagine its future boldly while ensuring near-term improvements serve our community effectively.
