Y'all, we've done it! This past month half of the LHC team was on the road traveling across Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, to bring us the Untold Stories of the Borderlands. Along the way they collected oral histories, met with 8 of our Nuestra Herencia grant recipients, documented cultural sites, and our ED even led a keynote presentation! All this amazing work and more is possible because of YOU, our Members who support LHC. 🧡 Thank all you wonderful people once again, our team appreciates you! Backing Historic Small Restaurants The National Trust for Historic Preservation and American Express are in their fifth year of supporting 50 small or independently owned restaurants across the country through the Backing Historic Small Restaurants grant program. Each restaurant—all places that contribute to their neighborhood's unique history and identity—will receive $50,000 in funding to help them improve their businesses and positively impact their communities.
